This property is located in the historic downtown area, within easy reach of shops, restaurants and the theater.
OUR OPINION:
The Hotel on Pownal is a lovely centrally located property with excellent links to many of Charlottetown’s attractions. The property has a boutique feel with just 45 guest rooms and the service is excellent.

Rooms
There are three main room categories plus larger Efficiency Units for longer stays. The smallest room is the Petit Double; at only 19.5 sq m (210 sq ft) it’s suitable for one or two people. The next room is the Traditional Double which can be configured with two double beds or a single large bed. The largest room is the Traditional Queen which can be configured with one or two queen beds and offers the most space. Finally, there is the Pownal Suite which offers spacious accommodation with a queen bed and jetted tub. All rooms feature a 42” TV, pillow-top mattress and Keurig coffee machine.
Location
The Hotel on Pownal is located downtown, in the historic area of Charlottetown. From here you are never more than ten minutes’ walk from the waterfront, Victoria Row for shops and restaurants, and Province House.
Food and drink
Every stay includes complimentary Deluxe Continental breakfast in the lobby area. Although there’s no restaurant on site, the hotel is located just steps from busy Grafton Street which has many great options for food and drink.
Facilities and activities
The hotel has a weeknight beer and wine reception which serves complimentary wine and local beers. Although there’s no swimming pool, all guests are welcome to pick up a complimentary CARI Complex Pool Pass which gains access to the local leisure facilities. Complimentary parking is offered on site and high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
