Available in five room categories, the 27 individually designed rooms feature classic decor, neutral hues, polished teak flooring, antique furniture, and lavish fabrics. Modern amenities include Smart technology, flat-screen TVs, air conditioning, minibars, complimentary Wi-Fi, safes, and en suite bathrooms with bathtubs or walk-in showers, toiletries, bathrobes, and slippers.

The Standard rooms overlook the park or sea while Superior rooms have slightly more living space and preferred views. The larger Deluxe rooms feature a sofa bed and seating area. The Suite and Luxury Suite both have separate sitting areas or living rooms as well as views of the marina.

Location

You’ll be staying on the remains of a 13th-century fortress in the heart of Zadar, the historic port on Croatia's Dalmatian coast. The back of the hotel opens onto a green leafy square, surrounded by the Church of our Lady of Health and the Zadar Cultural House. You’ll also be within easy distance of the town’s restaurants, shops, museums, and interesting mix of Roman, Byzantine, and Venetian buildings.

Food and drink

Featured in the Michelin guide, the hotel’s Kaštel restaurant is one of the top-rated options in Zadar for its local Dalmatian cuisine with French and Peruvian influences. Both lunch and dinner can be enjoyed on the outdoor terrace. While breakfast is served buffet style, some à la carte options are available. There’s also an intimate bar for cocktails, coffee, and afternoon tea.

Facilities and activities

The hotel’s small spa area features Turkish and Finnish sauna, heated relaxation chairs, gym with cardio equipment, and Jacuzzi. Treatments and massages using natural products infused with fruit and flower extracts can be arranged on request, but extra charges apply.
