The Grand Sarai Nafplio’s cheerful bubblegum-pink exterior makes it easy to spot from down the road. A plaque on the building’s facade explains (in Greek) more about its storied history. Constructed around the turn of the 18th century, the building’s prominent position in central Nafplio led it to a variety of governmental and administrative roles throughout the centuries. Today, the property hosts welcoming, contemporary boutique accommodation. The small, high-ceilinged reception greets you in modern style. An oak staircase offers a fresh take on the spiral staircase style of the original building and leads down to the breakfast room and small bar.
