Away from the stunning landscape afforded by the hotel’s hillside location, the hotel's book bar and adjacent heated plunge pool, solar-heated pool and jacuzzi spa also provide plenty of scope for relaxation and entertainment.

Spice Tree can organize several complimentary activities including yoga, nature, and plantation walks, cooking demonstrations and tea tasting.

OUR OPINION:

We love the endless views from the guest rooms here, particularly at sunrise and sunset. It’s worth noting the number of steps around the property, as we wouldn’t recommend a stay here for those with mobility issues.

The hotel’s spacious chalets are decorated in a tasteful, contemporary style and come replete with private balconies from which to soak up the sweeping scenery of the valley below. Some rooms include private infinity pools or indoor Jacuzzis, each with their own views of the verdant landscape, so you can relax without giving up the unforgettable surroundings.

Location

Spice Tree provides a serene boutique option just an hour away from Munnar town, offering a great stop on your exploration of Kerala. The property is set on the side of a steep hill, and access between buildings is by steps and slopes only.

Food and drink

As well as a large airy restaurant, there's a bakery at the bottom of the hill where tea tasting takes place. Meals are cooked to order, and the property also offers candle lit dining.

Accessibility

The property has a lot of steps, which may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
