Global Travel Advisor

Traveling has always been such a passion for me since a young age. My parents always took my sister and I on a vacation every summer from what I can remember whether that has been the Caribbean or within the USA, we are always down to explore new areas.

In 2019 I got the opportunity to travel to Egypt with my college class and that changed my perspective on my life. Immersing myself into the culture, learning about the people, and enjoying the local food. This trip is why I am the way I am today.

In college, I already knew I had such a love for travel. I studied tourism and hospitality management and then went on to get my master's degree in sustainable tourism and development. I have such a love and passion for travel so to share that with Audley clients and get to help them with their adventures is a dream.

Q&A with Andrea

Cachupa

What’s the best local dish you’ve tasted?

Cachupa while I was in Praia, Cape Verde. Cachupa is actually the national dish of Cape Verde — and now I understand why! It's a stew made with fish, meat, and vegetables. Each region of Cape Verde makes its own variation by adding in other ingredient.

Aswan

What's your most vivid travel moment?

In Egypt, I boarded a traditional sailing boat called a felucca for a trip down the River Nile, from Aswan to Luxor. Sleeping on a felucca while floating down one of the world's greatest rivers, was such a memorable moment in my life. It was such an amazing experience to be able to travel in the same way as the people did ancient times.

Mount Kilimanjaro National Park

Where would you love to travel next

Tanzania is my top bucket list place to visit. As I learn more and more about Tanzania, it becomes higher on my list. Between the safaris and Mount Kilimanjaro, I'm excited to explore it further. Seeing the Great Migration would be such a life changing experience for me.
