The Kempinski Ishtar brings modern design and luxury to Jordan, with its spacious, well-appointed rooms offering a serene place to relax overlooking the Dead Sea.
The variety of carefully-sculpted swimming pools are a delight, while the hotel's private beach has been built up with fine sand from the Red Sea. You can pass the day away by floating in the Dead Sea or relaxing in the spa's hydro pool, while more active guests can take advantage of the property's tennis courts and fitness center.
With excellent facilities and a spectacular location right on the edge of the lake, we think this is a great choice of hotel at the Dead Sea.

All have king size beds with space for one extra bed, while the luxurious Ishtar Royal Villas can accommodate up to six adults and three children in their three bedrooms and two living rooms, featuring a full kitchen, dining room, Jacuzzi and private infinity pool.
Location
The hotel has its own 300-meter private beach and is situated on the shores of the Dead Sea. Aside from its own facilities and the Dead Sea itself, there's unfortunately little to do or walk to in the vicinity of the hotel.

There are four restaurants and three bars to choose from. The Obelisk serves an international buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Codes is open for breakfast and dinner, has views over the Dead Sea, and serves Asian fare. The Akkad Pool Grill is open all day for light snacks, while the Ashur pizza and grill serves Mediterranean fare for most of the day. Kish Bar is the place to head at sunset, where you can relax with a refreshing drink while looking out across the Dead Sea. Sumerian Bar has a Babylonian theme and makes a relaxing venue for enjoying a cup of tea or coffee, while the Isin Lobby Bar has views over the Dead Sea and serves light snacks along with a good range of beverages.
Families
There's a kids' club with qualified instructors in the entertainment center, which offers network gaming, PlayStations, slides and bouncy castles, among other child-focused facilities. Weekly activities are also organized, including face-painting and beach volleyball.
Facilities and activities
In addition to a large fitness center and a tennis court, the hotel boasts nine freshwater pools, which include four infinity pools, two secluded pools, one kids' pool, and a lazy river pool. All are conveniently located within a few steps of any room or suite, and offer stunning views of the Dead Sea. The hotel also benefits from the longest private beach in Jordan. However, the keystone of the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea is the Anantara Spa, which boasts 20 treatment rooms and 27 spa suites, plus outdoor therapy lounges.
