Kipalo Hills

Tsavo West National Park, Kenya

Located on the slopes of the Mbulia Hills, Kipalo Hills combines an intimate feel with seemingly endless views over the Mbulia Conservancy and across to Ngulia Hills and the distant outline of Mount Kilimanjaro.

This small camp is in a sprawling conservancy that's managed in partnership with local communities and only accessible to guests staying at the camp.

The safari tents and suites are comfortably furnished, with a focus on the expansive views that can be enjoyed from the veranda. The camp also has a spacious private villa with an upstairs terrace where you enjoy a star-bed experience.

To cool off, you can also take advantage of the large communal pool. From the lodge, you can sit and watch over a waterhole that attracts elephant, buffalos, and leopards.

OUR OPINION:

We love Kipalo Hills as not only do you get a true wild experience with being perched atop a hill overlooking the surrounding area with both Tsavo and Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance, but you also get a wonderful private safari as each room gets their own guide and vehicle to explore where you want, when you want.
