The Heritage Awali Golf Resort & Spa is a popular resort on the quieter southwest coast of the island, in the Bel Ombre area. Its location is idyllic, set above a beautiful beach that overlooks a coral fringed lagoon and is backed by lush tropical mountains. The resort has a contemporary African feel, and although it has 160 rooms, it is well designed and spread across extensive tropical gardens. All the rooms are furnished to a high standard with dark wood to remain in keeping with the African theme, but with bright vibrant hues which bring the tropical Mauritian traditions to mind. They are all spacious and offer varied views from either a balcony or a terrace, as well as featuring air conditioning for a cooled room at any part of the day.
The property has five restaurants and three bars on site with a dine around option that allows for dining in other outlets within other Heritage Resorts, providing guests with a good choice of dining options. Other restaurants in the Bel Ombre area are within easy reach.
There are three pools at the resort, including an adult only option, as well as plenty of activities along the beach to keep both adults and children occupied. Further facilities include the Seven Colours Spa, the Heritage Golf Club, a sports center and clubs for babies, kids, and teenagers — many of these are included within your stay.
The Heritage Awali Golf Resort and Spa is a great luxury property, with a wealth of activities on offer, ensuring that you have plenty to keep you occupied whilst enjoying time by the beach. We particularly like the fact that the hotel is situated further away from other hotels in a quiet position above a sandy beach.
