At the hotel, all the accommodation is located in beautifully designed, whitewashed buildings with traditional thatched roofs, modern interior decor and stunning Mexican artworks. The rooms range in size, amenities and view. The superior beachfront doubles are a firm favorite, situated on the second story of the main house, they offer gorgeous views onto the ocean. The Ocean Suite has a dramatic, panoramic view over the beach and ocean, a stunning deep soaking bath and a cozy reading nook. The terrace opens onto a wide balcony complete with a swinging hammock for ultimate relaxation.

Location

Set on the white sands of the stunning Isla Holbox, two hours northwest of Cancun, with Cancun airport being less than 50 miles away. There are plenty of options to arrive either by private flight charter which takes 20 minutes or the sea ferry service to and from Chiquilá. There are no cars allowed on the island.

Food and drink

Traditional Mayan flavors dominate the cuisine served at the Ser Esencia restaurant, and with a menu designed by one of Mexico’s most celebrated chefs, Roberto Solis, guests are in for a culinary delight. The restaurant only uses fresh local produce and has been listed by The New York Times as one of the best places to eat in Holbox.

The Maiz Pool Bar and Mojito's Beach Club are situated right next to the outdoor pool, and serve signature mojitos and refreshing cocktails right to your sunlounger.

Facilities and activities

Ser Casasandra offers the ultimate wellness packages with mediation and nutrition classes available to all guests. Being so close to the ocean, there is a huge emphasis on water activities. Take a boat ride out to three of the closest islands, teeming with native birdlife then enjoy a light lunch of ceviche from freshly caught fish.

Whale sharks can be seen off Isla Holbox from June to September, and fishing is a popular pastime in the area with local mangroves inhabited by snook, sea trout and cobias.
