Selva Negra is a sustainable organic coffee plantation located in the highlands of Nicaragua. All of the 26 rustic bungalows and chalets are designed to fit in with their environment and the restaurant has a wonderful picturesque lakefront setting.
The owners are extremely ecologically aware and almost everything is produced in house at Selva Negra including the electricity. The surrounding countryside is green year round and the temperature is always comfortably cool — a welcome respite from the heat of the Nicaraguan cities.
There are a variety of trails suitable for both walking and horse riding throughout the property so that you can explore the pristine cloudforest spotting birds and howler monkeys. The coffee tour is a real highlight of the stay here.
