Saccharum Resort

Portugal

Saccharum Resort is an elegant retreat that tastefully balances its historical routes with a strong focus on wellness. The resort, a former sugar cane and rum factory, retains much of its industrial charm, with original machinery displayed in the lobby and the heritage being present in many design elements of the hotel. The atmospheric reception area, featuring dark stone offset by large verdant plants, sets a tranquil and sophisticated tone upon arrival.

During your stay you can enjoy three pools, including the adults-only outside infinity pool, an exquisite spa pool and a heated indoor pool that sits alongside the gym. The resort is also surrounded by excellent hiking trails and a man-made beach, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. Activities such as guided visits to the local market and the hotel garden, followed by cooking classes with the head chef, emphasize the hotel's focus on wellness and culinary experiences.

OUR OPINION:

Saccharum Resort is a fabulous base if you’re looking for easy access to outdoor adventures but want the facilities to focus on luxuriant relaxation afterwards.
