Opened in 1910, the Hotel Alhambra Palace is a landmark property overlooking the city of Granada. Located directly opposite its famous namesake, the hotel features a strong neo-Moorish theme, with elaborate tiling and detailed stuccowork that reflect the original palace’s design. You can walk to the heart of the city in around 20 minutes, taking the path just below the hotel through the Realejo district.
The Moorish theme continues throughout the property. A sumptuous lobby leads to a comfortable lounge and a terrace with panoramic views of the city below. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with stucco-detailed headboards and bathrooms tiled in varying shades of gold, red and green. All feature flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi and air conditioning, and have views either of the Alhambra or over the city.
A buffet-style breakfast with a hot and cold selection is served in a tiled room hung with a grand chandelier.
The hotel’s plain ocher façade conceals the incredible detail on display once you step through the door. We love the elegant, historic styling and the ideal location, just a short walk from the Alhambra Palace.
