Fort Printers

Galle, Sri Lanka

A stay at Fort Printers is a step back in history. Housed in an 18th century mansion that over the years served as a Buddhist college and a printers, the hotel’s building has both Dutch and British influences, with high ceilings and large windows.

Today, Fort Printers has been restored into a unique and characterful boutique hotel, accommodating guests in a handful of simple but comfortable suites. Situated within the 16th century Galle Fort, you can spend the day exploring the area’s historic delights before cooling off in the pool and tucking in to fresh seafood in the charming courtyard.

OUR OPINION:

This is an attractive hotel in an ideal location within the fort. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, but are fairly simple in terms of their amenities compared to other hotels. Please note that some of the opening windows in the rooms have low sills and the windows are not fitted with barriers or restrictor devices, so guests should take extra care, especially if staying with children.
