Venture into Phuket’s interior to indulge in a sustainable, locally sourced feast.
Surrounded by Phuket’s fertile forests and freshwater lakes, you’ll sit down to a seven-course dinner at Jampa, a Michelin Green Star restaurant dedicated to serving sustainable, zero-waste cuisine. While there, you’ll take a guided tour of the restaurant’s farm, where you’ll be able to pick fresh ingredients to garnish your meal.
We’ll arrange for a driver to pick you up from your hotel so they can take you to the restaurant, which is situated in the verdant Tri Vananda wellness community. The restaurant itself is located on the top floor of the ultra-modern Community House, overlooking the rainforest below.
Upon arrival, you’ll receive a welcome drink made using ingredients fresh from Jampa’s organic farm. You’ll then join a guided tour of the sprawling grounds — the natural lakes, wild plants, herbs, and flowers supply the restaurant with its produce through sustainable permaculture (self-sufficient farming that produces little-to-no waste). As you walk, you might like to pluck a sun-ripened garnish (think carrots, tomatoes, and other vegetables), which can later be incorporated into your meal.
You’ll then return to the restaurant for a seven-course sit-down dinner. The menu changes daily, depending on the local fishermen’s catch and the farm’s harvest. However, you can typically expect a creative mix of Thai and European influences — previous options have included coconut river prawns, wild pepper veal, and honey-sweetened quince. You can also choose from seasonal beverages, including non-alcoholic and low-ABV cocktails, as well as wine pairings.
Typically, this experience begins at 5pm, with your tour taking around 30 minutes.
