West Loch Hotel

West Loch Hotel

The UK

This small food-led inn sitting to the north of West Loch Tarbert is well situated if you're journeying to or from the islands of Islay and Jura. Its warm atmosphere is immediately evident in the conviviality that pervades the lounge, which has an open log stove, whitewashed stone walls, original features and comfortable furniture.

The restaurant serves Scottish cuisine, with an emphasis on locally sourced seafood and meat, to the backdrop of stone walls, wooden floors and a large fireplace. The hotel has just eight rooms, and, while not large, they're bright and airy and decorated in light tones with a subtle nautical theme. Although there isn’t an elevator, staff will help with your luggage.

OUR OPINION:

We enjoyed the warm and welcoming ambience of the West Loch Hotel and found the service excellent during our stay. The hotel restaurant's menu, with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients, lived up to expectations.
