Mayflower Park Hotel, Seattle

Mayflower Park Hotel

Seattle, The US

The historic Mayflower Park Hotel dates back to 1927, and has gradually been carefully restored with a touch of European elegance, featuring chandeliers, brass and antique furnishings.

The Andaluca Restaurant and bar offers an inviting ambience, with hand-painted murals on the walls and a Mediterranean-inspired menu, whilst Oliver's Lounge is famous for its signature martinis and cityscape views. Rooms and suites are spacious and well-appointed, and guests can make use of the on site gym.

OUR OPINION:

The Mayflower Park is a very pleasant independent hotel, offering great value in a city that can be expensive for accommodation. The classical style may not suit all guests, but the location is excellent and there are a good range of on site facilities.

Rooms

The classically-styled rooms and suites, many boasting traditional Queen Anne armoires and furnishings, come equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, electronic safe, coffee maker, telephone, hair dryer and en suite bathroom. Classic guest rooms offer traditional decor and a queen size bed, representing a comfortable base for couples, while Deluxe guest rooms are more spacious with a king size bed or two queen size beds, walk-in closet and sitting area. There are also five suite categories, which come with adjoining living areas for additional space and comfort.

Location

The downtown location enables guests to walk to all of the city’s main attractions. Just steps away from Pike Place Market and Seattle Waterfront, restaurants, theaters and museums can be found at every turn, while Nordstrom and Macy's are just one block away. Seattle's Light Rail is situated right next to the hotel, which opens directly into the Westlake Center. This offers direct access to the monorail, which takes you to Space Needle in just two minutes.

Food and drink

The Andaluca Restaurant offers à la carte breakfasts along with a tasty, varied Mediterranean-inspired dinner menu, showcasing favorites such as paella and calamari alongside some more unique dishes. For lunch, Oliver’s Lounge offers snacks, nibbles, sandwiches and burgers. However, it's best known as an evening martini bar, and its status as Washington state’s first daylight bar have helped make it a local institution — we definitely recommend checking out the impressive cocktail menu.

Facilities and activities

Complimentary Wi-Fi access is available throughout the hotel, and each room offers a premium selection of digital TV channels. There's a gym on site, a same-day laundry service and currency exchange facilities, while valet parking is available at an additional cost. Every Wednesday, between 4.30pm and 5.30pm, guests can enjoy a complimentary wine reception.
