The coastal town of Seward is set on beautiful Resurrection Bay on the Kenai Peninsula and is named after the man who arranged for the purchase of Alaska from Russia in 1867.

This strategic spot is the southern terminus for the Alaska Railroad and is one of the state’s principal ports.
