Wildlife Expeditions is a non-profit organization that has a well-earned reputation of locating all kinds of wildlife in the Greater Yellowstone area. They provide fascinating and educational experiences in a fun and relaxed environment. Animals that may be observed during their expeditions include elk, moose, bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, wolves and bears.
The chances of finding these elusive predators in Yellowstone's 14-million acre ecosystem are dramatically increased when you travel with one of the Wildlife Expedition's biologists, who know the best locations and times of day to observe them. The small group size, specialist vehicles and exemplary service all contribute to a wonderful eco-friendly adventure.
Wildlife Discovery Expedition (8 Hours)
The full-day Wildlife Discovery Expedition offers numerous opportunities to view and learn about wildlife. Comfortable, customized, safari-style vehicles have retractable roof hatches and sliding windows that allow for easy wildlife observation.
The day begins with an early morning drive through spectacular Grand Teton National Park and surrounding Bridger-Teton National Forest, providing a chance to view wildlife in the quiet dawn hours. Following lunch, you continue your search for wildlife and enjoy a short walk or snowshoe. You return late in the afternoon, completing an exciting day of observing and learning about this magnificent ecosystem.
To protect the environment, vehicle travel is restricted to established roads. Roads range from paved highways to secondary dirt roads. The guide will choose the route based on group interest and recent wildlife sightings.
These activities are designed to give you the most authentic experiences around where you're staying.
