Avana Retreat is a beautiful mountain hideaway designed to represent a genuine love for the natural environment. Tours, trekking and adventure activities can be arranged in-house by the dedicated guide staff, and the heated panoramic infinity pool is arguably the best place to head for sunset views or ‘cloud hunting’. Avana Retreat prides itself in investing in the local community’s growth, the well-being of its citizens, and the health of the local economy. Almost exclusively, staff are employed from Mai Chau or surrounding villages and trained in-house in-line with the Avana's commendable values.

Rooms

The villas are a variety of styles but are all perched on the mountainside and are inspired by ethnic stilt houses that blend seamlessly into a backdrop of imposing forest and rice terraces. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls utilise natural light to reduce energy usage.

Location

Surrounded by the verdant landscape of Mai Chau’s lush jungles and rice-clad valleys, the Avana Retreat has a moderate plateau environment in a remote idyllic region. The nearest town is Mai Chau, located approximately a 30-minute drive away.

Food and drink

The Green Chili Restaurant serves both local and fusion dishes, utilising a wide array of local ingredients from both the onsite garden and chicken farm.
