Fumba Beach Lodge is situated on a remote peninsula south of Zanzibar's Stone Town. It is set in a beautiful area that has been designated a conservation area. Fumba Beach is the first and only lodge in the area. The lodge is set in 161,874 square meters of wilderness with three naturally sheltered beaches. It is small and personal with only 27 rooms scattered throughout the grounds, shaded by a forest of baobab trees and palms. Rooms fall into three categories; 20 are deluxe cottages. Each is decorated in bright fresh colors and has an en suite bathroom, private terrace and stunning ocean view. Then, there are four luxury suites that have private roof terraces, open-air showers and baths overlooking the ocean. Finally, there are two fabulous baobab suites built in and around the huge baobab trees.

Above the beach there is a beautiful pool, simple open-air restaurant and beach bar carved from an old Zanzibari dhow. The lodge has its own dive center, which can arrange diving and snorkeling in the Zanzibar Channel and boat trips to sandbanks and small islands.
