Upon arrival in the ocean-front city of Santa Monica, enjoy a leisurely stroll along the lively pier and boardwalk. Explore the charming boutique shops on Abbot Kinney Boulevard and savour freshly caught seafood at the area’s top local restaurants.
-
Today, explore the laid-back side of Los Angeles on an electric bicycle tour. Your knowledgeable local guide will share the history and architectural insights as you cruise past Santa Monica Pier, Muscle Beach, and the historic Venice Canals. Enjoy the ocean breezes and soak up the southern Californian sun.
-
This morning, head to the airport to board your flight to Moloka'i, nicknamed the ‘Friendly Isle’ for its tranquillity and nature. Upon arrival, pick up your hire car and drive to your hotel.
-
Today, you have a full day to yourself on Moloka'i, perfect for embracing island time or exploring this incredible place. On the eastern side, Halawa Valley offers picturesque hiking. The drive there is slow, with narrow roads and sharp corners, but it’s worth it. To the west, Papohaku Beach is a vast, often deserted stretch of sand, ideal for watching the sunset. Look for the ‘public access’ signs nestled between private ranches and condos.
-
After breakfast this morning, your driver will meet you at the hotel and take you by private transfer to where your Uncruise ship is docked. You’ll be greeted with champagne by the captain and crew, before settling into your cabin. Tonight, you have dinner aboard the yacht — your meals and drinks are included in your cruise — before a presentation about what you can look forward to in the week ahead.
-
On your final day in Molokaʻi, you’ll meet with local people to find out more about Hawaiian culture and hear some of its legends and lore. You might also like to learn how to make poi (a food made from taro root), or set out on a hike to a surging waterfall in the lush Halawa Valley. As evening arrives, you’ll be treated to an authentic paʻina (feast) accompanied by traditional live music.
-
Today, you set sail across the sparkling seascapes of Hawaii. Your captain will choose a selection of the best spots to explore, whether you want to swim, snorkel, or paddleboard. That might mean cruising past Molokaʻi’s soaring cliffs, or kayaking along the hidden coves of Maui. Back on board, you can sip on one of the ship’s signature drinks as an expert naturalist tells you more about the birds and marine life you could spy from the deck.
-
Your port of call today is Lānaʻi, the smallest of Hawaii’s six main islands. Here, you could explore Lānaʻi City, relax on the white-sand beaches, or join a hiking or biking tour along the island’s trails. The crew can also take you to spots that enable you to snorkel away from the crowds, where the crystalline waters play host to a diversity of marine life at the base of sheer sea cliffs.
-
You have another full day on the water today, cruising in the Humpback National Marine Sanctuary between Lānaʻi, Molokaʻi, and Maui on the lookout for whales and dolphins. You’ll also visit coral gardens, and have the chance to snorkel alongside green sea turtles in a habitat known as “turtle town”. Once you’ve had your fill of swimming, you could relax with a drink in the ship’s lounge or curl up in the library with a good book.
-
Your ship docks on the island of Hawaiʻi today, where you can take a guided morning hike up the misty, rock-strewn slopes of Hualālai volcano. The trail takes you across black lava flows, through a lava tube, and to the edge of plunging craters. In the evening, we highly recommend going for a night snorkel, where you’ll have the opportunity to swim with graceful giant manta rays in their natural habitat.
-
Today, you sail for Kealakekua Bay, the site of the Cook Monument that marks where Captain Cook died in 1779. Here, you can snorkel among the kaleidoscopic tropical fish that live on the coral reef, or paddleboard over the waves looking for dolphins. After lunch, you head further out to sea in search of marine mammals around the remote South Point.
-
You’ll enjoy one more Hawaiian breakfast on board, before disembarking in Kailua-Kona on the island of Hawaiʻi. You’ll pick up your car and head to your hotel. This afternoon, after settling into your room, you might like to go for a stroll through the lush greenery of the surrounding rainforest.
-
Today, you'll be greeted by your private guide, who will accompany you throughout the park. You can explore at your own pace, taking in the scenery and unique features of the area. Your guide is knowledgeable about the park’s geology, landscape, culture, and history, and will be happy to answer any questions you have. Whether you’re interested in the ancient rock formations, the diverse plant and animal life, or the rich cultural heritage, your guide will provide fascinating insights.
-
Today, you will travel from Volcano National Park on the eastern side of the island to the western coast. Upon arrival, you can unwind and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. The western side offers a variety of activities and sights. You might choose to relax in Waikoloa, taking in the unique volcanic beauty of the island. Alternatively, you can drive north to the charming town of Hawi or head south to Kona.
-
This afternoon, you’ll be picked up and driven to the summit of Mauna Kea, one of the most renowned stargazing locations in the world. As you ascend, you’ll be treated to views of the island’s diverse landscapes. Once at the top, you’ll have the opportunity to gaze at the stars through powerful telescopes, witnessing the night sky in all its glory. Your guide will share insights into the history and significance of Mauna Kea, as well as the cultural and geological wonders of the island.
-
Head to the airport and board your domestic flight to San Diego. Upon arrival, head to Coronado, a small strip of land in downtown San Diego, offering a wide sweeping beach and views over the San Diego skyline.
-
For your final day in San Diego, you have a full day for independent exploration. Take a leisurely stroll through the charming streets of Coronado Village, where you can browse unique boutiques and enjoy a coffee at a cosy café. You can also take a ferry ride across to downtown San Diego and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Gaslamp Quarter.
-
You'll have most of the day to enjoy San Diego before your onward flight. Take some time to soak up the sunshine, collect last-minute souvenirs and take as many photos as you can. Make your own way to the airport for your flight home.
