Inn on the Sound

Inn on the Sound

Falmouth, The USA

This delightful inn sits atop a bluff, with panoramic ocean and Martha’s Vineyard views, and is perfectly located for sightseeing throughout Cape Cod.

Fairly modern in style, this stylish inn differs from the typical quintessential New England inn, without traditional or frilly decor.

OUR OPINION:

Inn on the Sound enjoys an enviable location overlooking the water and is one of the only B&B style accommodations of its kind on Cape Cod.

Rooms

The property offers 10 spacious, tastefully decorated guest rooms, each with en suite bathroom. Eight of the rooms have magnificent ocean and Martha's Vineyard views, five with private balconies. Each guest room is well appointed with a comfortable queen-size bed, cable television, ceiling fan, window air conditioner, wireless internet, ironing board and hair dryer, as well as a large basket of beach towels.

Location

Located in one of Cape Cod's most charming towns, Inn on the Sound sits on the southern coast of the Cape in Falmouth. Just a short drive from the town's art galleries and independent stores, Inn on the Sound is near enough to the hustle and bustle, but perfectly placed for relaxation as it is slightly further away from the centre.

Food and drink

Start your day with breakfast on the front deck overlooking the ocean, or in the dining room. As a matter of tradition, your breakfast starts with a buffet of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, breads and juice. This is followed by a daily changing hot entree specially prepared by staff.

Facilities and activities

Falmouth is an excellent base from which to explore the Cape and guests can visit nearby beaches such as Race Point or Coast Guard Beach for a day of sunbathing, rent bikes and cycle along the Cape Cod Rail Trail or visit the Sandwich Glass Museum or the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in nearby Brewster.
