Itinerary idea in detail

Ask us if you would also like us to arrange your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • On arrival in Mexico City, you will be transferred to your overnight accommodation.

  • Today your guide will take you on a tour of Mexico City and Teotihuacán — a great introduction to the history of this part of the world. Use this evening to dine at one of Mexico City’s famous gourmet restaurants.

  • Today, you will visit the bohemian district of Coyoacan and visit the Frida Kahlo Museum, followed by a visit to the Xochimilco floating gardens, where you'll travel by boat through a series of canals, accompanied by boats of floating mariachis, artisans and food vendors.

  • Today you will transfer back to Mexico City to catch a flight to Los Mochis. This afternoon you will enjoy a walking tour of El Fuerte.

  • Today, you will board El Chepe, the train that will take you through the Copper Canyon. On the first day of this truly spectacular journey, you will travel to Bahuichivo at an altitude of around 1,800 m above sea level. You will be met at the station and driven to Cerocahui, a tiny village where forestry is the main industry. It is situated in the canyon itself and has access to a stunning viewpoint where three canyons meet.

  • This morning, you will have a tour to that stunning viewpoint before you continue onto Barrancas, which is near the highest point at 2,350 m above sea level.

  • Today, you will ride the Copper Canyon Cable Car, taking in the best views of the region, including outlook points and the Balancing Rock.

  • This morning is free for you to relax or explore further and in the afternoon you will board the train to Chihuahua. This section of track rises and falls through mountainous scenery as you ultimately descend to around 1,600 m. Leaving the train for the final time you will be met and driven to your hotel.

  • A domestic flight will take you to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo on the Pacific Coast. This beautiful and historic town will be your base for the next few days as you take advantage to relax a little.

  • Time at leisure. There are plenty of water based activities that can be arranged here, or you can head inland and keep equally active if you want, so please do let us know if you prefer to keep going. If not then sit back and enjoy the relaxing coastal town.

  • Time to explore the town.

  • A final day to relax on the beach.

  • Your driver will return to take you to the airport for your onward flight.
