Vincci La Rábida

Vincci La Rábida

Seville, Spain

Situated in the heart of Seville, just two streets from the cathedral and with excellent tapas places on its doorstep, Vincci La Rábida is well located for exploring the city’s main sights. The 104 rooms, spread across two historic buildings, are very comfortable (if a little understated), while the rest of the hotel exhibits a charming Andalusian style.

The hotel’s buildings, once palatial 18th-century homes, each has an interior courtyard, while a third whitewashed courtyard outside is filled with pots of geraniums, set out with wrought-iron tables and decorated with traditional tiles.

You can take breakfast here on warmer days or in the grand breakfast room with its large windows and original 18th-century wooden ceiling.

Upstairs, a rooftop terrace bar and restaurant offers sweeping views over Seville to the cathedral and Giralda Tower.

OUR OPINION:

A charming and characterful property, the Vincci La Rábida offers value and comfort in central Seville. We love the prettiness of its interior courtyards and the views from the rooftop.

Rooms

All the rooms are modern and comfortable, and decorated in traditional shades of white and red with large windows to allow in plenty of light. Each room has a kettle for making tea and coffee, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi, a TV and air conditioning. Bathrooms have a bath and shower.

Location

In less than ten minutes, you can walk from the hotel to the Real Alcázar or to Seville’s cathedral, where you can climb the Giralda Tower. In about 20 minutes you can reach the Plaza de España in the Parque de María Luisa, the site of the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition.

Food and drink

The hotel’s roof terrace restaurant, El Mirador de Sevilla (meaning ‘the viewpoint of Seville’), lives up to its name. Sitting here for an evening meal or cocktail, your eye moves over a panoramic view of Seville that includes the cathedral and Giralda Tower. For lighter fare, you can visit La Rábida Tapas & Bar, which serves small plates and sandwiches. Breakfast is set in a room resembling a grand ballroom, which opens out onto the courtyard in nicer weather.
