&Beyond Klein’s Camp

This excellent lodge lies just outside the eastern border of the national park, on a private conservancy leased from the local Maasai. It effectively functions as an exclusive private game reserve, since camp residents have sole use of the conservancy. Because Klein's Camp is outside the national park, there are no restrictions prohibiting night drives and guided game walks. The camp has a stunning location on the side of a hill offering panoramic views in all directions.

There are ten stone cottages set into the hillside each stylishly furnished with a king sized bed, writing desk, easy chairs and large en suite bathroom. Probably the best part about the rooms is the fabulous views which you can enjoy from the cool shady veranda outside.

The main bar and lounge area is housed in a large thatch roof rondavel again with stunning views across the valley and hills. This is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the cozy atmosphere with deep leather sofas, lots of journals on the Maasai, a circular open fireplace and highly polished bar. Meals are sometimes served here, or in the adjacent dining room and are all freshly prepared and of excellent standard.
