Traditional and hospitable, the Hotel Reichsküchenmeister is one of the oldest hotels in Bavaria. As you step inside the main building you might sense an atmosphere of time standing still, as the hotel has remained largely unchanged for 800 years. The half-timbered and pastel painted exterior complementing the historic surroundings.

OUR OPINION:
This hotel is a great example of Bavarian hospitality and a family run hotel. The location is perfect for exploring the city and the biergarten is a delightful spot enjoy a drink with fellow guests and locals.
The hotel’s 49 rooms are divided between the original house and another building located opposite, which was formerly the Viktoria Cinema. The original house has traditional rooms, including two suites, which are well-appointed but rustic in style. The contemporary-style rooms are housed in the other building, these are decorated stylishly in various, muted hues. All rooms come with the modern amenities one would expect, such as a private bathroom, TV, safe and Wi-Fi.
Location
Situated in the middle of the medieval city with views of the imposing St Jacob’s Church, the hotel is well located for exploring the surrounding winding streets. The Rothenburg ob der Tauber Train Station is 1 km (0.6 miles) away and on-site parking is available, making this a good base for any of Rothenburg’s excursions, or for exploring the many shops dotted along the city’s cobblestones.
