Boutique in style, the Minos Beach Art Hotel has a minimalist boutique style and a focus on modern artwork that can be found dotted around the property in both the common areas and the landscaped garden.

There is a large heated swimming pool which is open during summer months, a gym and wellness area, and bars offering a space to sit and relax with a drink or snacks after a days sightseeing. Baccus restaurant served a buffet breakfast daily, and for evening meals you can choose from either the Mediterranean restaurant or Terpsis which focuses on Cretan cuisine.

On the private sandy beach area in front of the property you can find complementary sunloungers and parasols, and if you are feeling active, water sports can be booked locally including scuba diving. You can also find the lounge bar located on the beach which serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks throughout the day.

OUR OPINION:

Minos Beach Art Hotel offers a plethora of dining options and facilities to make any stay here an enjoyable one. The location in a quiet area, yet within easy striking distance of Agios Nikolaos, makes it a great base to explore the eastern side of the island.

Rooms

The 121 rooms are all of a good size and many have balconies overlooking the bay or gardens. Rooms are modern and stylish, using soft tones offset by pops of brightly patterned pieces. The majority of rooms are located in the main building, while others are bungalows that overlook the sea.

Located right on the water’s edge at Mirabello Bay and around a 10-minute walk from the heart of Agios Nikolaos, Minos Beach Art Hotel offers a tranquil escape within easy reach of Agios Nikolaos.

Food and drink

  • La Bouillabaisse Restaurant is the fine dining restaurant that’s open for dinner and located in an enviable location overlooking the water.
  • Baccus Restaurant serves up a delicious breakfast each morning and also opens for dinners offering Greek cuisine and regional Cretan dishes.
  • La Cave wine cellars are open in the evening and belong to La Bouillabaisse.
  • Kafeneion “Adeste” offers an informal meze dining experience and periodically offers live Cretan music.
  • Terpsis is open for lunch on the water's edge with a fine dining menu. There are also three bars to choose from.
