Run by well-travelled husband and wife team Gopal and Vandna, the Coral Tree is home to ten brightly coloured, distinctive rooms, with some featuring private verandas overlooking the property's gardens.
In the evenings, these gardens become the hub of the homestay, with notice boards dotted around sharing photos, guest feedback, activities and local tips. Over 100 species have been sighted in the gardens, making it popular with birders and birdlife alike.
The possibility of participating in cookery classes, the scampering local wildlife, as well as the superb home cooked food, also add to the character of this charming homestay experience.
One of the best options in Agra for those looking for character over facilities. The Coral Tree's colour comes complemented by the wonderful hosts during the winter months, although they do travel in the summer months so may not be around at this time of the year.

Rooms
Vandna's love for design and eye for detail shows in the four, large guest rooms at Coral Tree. Each is bright and colourful with vibrant bedding and interesting artwork. Some rooms have private sit-outs which overlook the well-kept garden. The amenities are simple, with tea/coffee facilities, a TV and travel trinkets, although each room has its own private bathroom and Wi-Fi access.
Location
Conveniently located on Taj VIP road, the property is within easy access of restaurants, shopping malls and the Taj Mahal, which is a short five-minute walk away. Being keen naturalists, the Singhs also enjoy accompanying guests on nature walks nearby, which include views of the famous white marble mausoleum as the back-drop.
Food and drink
Although the homestay has no formal restaurant, home-cooked evening meals are available when requested in advance, and these incorporate some of Northern India’s most beloved regional dishes. Guests are also invited to enquire about cooking lessons in advance, during which one of the family members will happily share some of their most treasured culinary secrets.
