Two side-by-side Art Nouveau houses operated as a single hotel, Maison Haas Hustinx offers elegant charm and easy walking access to most of Maastricht’s highlights. The buildings are named after their former owners, Madame Haas and Monsieur Hustinx, and each has an individual aesthetic.
Haas focuses on delicately decorated contemporary rooms, some with private patios and kitchens, while Hustinx features French oak floors, vaulted ceilings, original fireplaces and oversized windows, some of which look out over Vrijthof Square.
The buildings have been extensively renovated to add an indoor pool and spa facility, with a glass ceiling to allow plentiful natural light. There are just 17 rooms between the two buildings, giving the hotel an intimate feel.
A continental breakfast is offered daily, and you’ll be close to plenty of restaurant and entertainment options, as well as many of Maastricht’s highlights.
We like this quintessential boutique hotel for its high level of comfort and central location in Maastricht.

Rooms
The hotel's two buildings contain several different room and suite types, which vary in size and offer different views. Rooms in the Haas building range from Double rooms to a spacious Senior Apartment with a patio. The Hustinx building houses a selection of double, twin and triple rooms and spacious suites.
The rooms and suites are all generously sized and have a clean, minimalist style. En suite bathrooms, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, minibars and flat-screen TVs all come as standard. All rooms provide complimentary mineral water, and espresso and tea-making facilities.
Location
Maison Haas Hustinx is located on the southern side of Vrijthof Square next to the 11th-century Basilica of Saint Servatius. It’s a central location for exploring Maastricht and convenient to a number of shopping areas and restaurants. Vrijthof Square plays host to many events and festivals, and while the hotel’s double-pane windows keep most of the noise out, the area can get busy during those times.
The hotel is a five-minute walk to Markt Square, the Maas River and the parks lining Maastricht University. It’s about 15-20 minutes to the train station and the Bonnefantenmuseum or the fine art museum.
