Risorgimento Resort

Risorgimento Resort

Lecce, Italy

Behind the historic façade of the Risorgimento Resort, a contemporary hotel welcomes guests looking for a comfortable retreat right in the heart of Lecce. While there has been a hotel here since the end of the 19th century, today the property offers guests a modern decor focusing on muted woods and clean, structural lines.

The property is perfectly located to explore the Baroque heart of Lecce. The main sights are all within walking distance as well as plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel is also well appointed — the main restaurant is located downstairs, and there is also a beautiful roof terrace with views out over the town where guests can enjoy a meal or drink. Those looking to relax will appreciate the on-site spa.

OUR OPINION:

For those looking to explore Lecce, we like Risorgimento Resort for its ideal, central location, and its beautiful rooftop terrace which offers the best views over Lecce.

Rooms

The 48 rooms of the Risorgimento resort are all spacious for an Italian hotel and offer a more modern design scheme. The style of the rooms varies throughout the hotel with some following the red and white palette of the public areas and others decorated in tasteful greens or more muted tones. Large picture windows look from some room's over to the city and provide plenty of natural light. All bathrooms are outfitted with modern fixtures, and plush beds help foster a restful night’s sleep.

Location

Ideally located in central Lecce, this property provides a fantastic base for visiting the sites of the city, all of which are within walking distance. Directly outside the hotel there is a range of shops, bars and restaurants catering for a variety of different tastes and budgets.

Food and drink

The main restaurant of the hotel, Le Quattro Speziere, serves up traditional local dishes for both lunch and dinner. Breakfast is also served in this space and sets guests up for the day with a hearty buffet spread. The real jewel though is the rooftop terrace branch of the restaurant. In good weather, the same cuisine is served here alfresco with wonderful views out over historic Lecce. Even if guests plan to go out of the hotel for dinner, this is a scenic spot for a traditional Italian evening aperitivo before setting out on the town.

Facilities and activities

The small, Salus per Aquam spa onsite offers a hammam, Turkish bath, treatment rooms and a peaceful relaxation room. There is also a fitness area available for guests.
