H10 Montcada

H10 Montcada

Barcelona, Spain

The H10 Montcada is situated in central Barcelona, directly across from the cathedral and just steps away from the Gothic Quarter.

Inside, a vintage-styled lobby featuring old advertising posters and large-scale maps recalls the city’s history, and an eclectic mix of leather couches and comfortable chairs gives the entire space a retro feel. Although the decor in the public areas evokes the past, the rooms are comfortably modern, decorated in a minimalist style with a palette of fresh whites and deep browns. Rooms have air conditioning and espresso machines as standard, as well as free Wi-Fi.

The highlight of a stay at the H10 Montcada is the rooftop terrace and bar, which wraps around the building to give panoramic views of the cathedral and sea. There is also a small Jacuzzi and cocktail bar here. Downstairs, the Travellers Bar serves premium cocktails and lighter fare through the afternoon and evening. A buffet breakfast is served in the light and airy wood-paneled Library Restaurant, which is brightened with fresh-cut seasonal flowers.

OUR OPINION:

While the rooms at the H10 Montcada are a little on the small side, we find that the location and attention to detail more than make up for this.
