Ariyasom Villa is located in the heart of Sukhumvit District at the end of a quiet soi (street). Attractive tropical gardens surround this traditional Thai residence, which has been passed down through generations of the same family for nearly 70 years. The charming, friendly owners live upstairs and are welcoming hosts, ensuring that their guests are made to feel at home.

Rooms are well appointed and tastefully designed, offering a modern feel alongside characterful touches that fit nicely with the rest of the property. Boutique in size and style, the property has an intimate and relaxing atmosphere that contrasts well with the bustling streets of Bangkok.

This is a wonderful option for those looking to explore the city while having a relaxing escape at the end of a long day. We particularly like the traditional Thai atmosphere, as well as the beautifully appointed rooms.

Rooms

Rooms are spread between the old and new wings and have an authentic Thai feel, with teak floors, silk drapes and original artwork. The entry level Studio rooms are smaller than other room types, but come with a good range of amenities, while Deluxe rooms offer a little more space, with connecting rooms also available. Both Deluxe and Studio rooms can be arranged as double or twin options.

There are also a number of Executive Deluxe rooms, which boast their own private balcony and large en suite bathroom, with one offering a Jacuzzi bathtub. Meanwhile, Executive Suites are set on two levels and offer garden, canal or pool views as well as a living area and traditional four-poster beds.

Location

Although a little out of town, the property is just a ten-minute walk from Ploenchit Skytrain station or a five-minute canal walk from Nana Nue water taxi stop, offering an alternative way to explore the city sights. Its quiet location away from the busy main road allows it to offer a peaceful sanctuary in the sprawling expanse of Bangkok.

Food and drink

The property's Na Aroon restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving a tasty selection of organic vegetarian cuisine along with fresh fish and seafood dishes. Housed in the old villa, it has a traditional Thai charm with high ceilings and teak floors. Breakfast consists of fresh fruit juice, eggs, natural yogurt and vegetarian sausage and bacon. All meals are accompanied by a selection of beverages, from smoothies to wine.

Families

Some of the Deluxe rooms can interconnect to accommodate families of four. A crib can be added to the rooms on request.

Facilities and activities

The Som Sen Spa is open daily and offers a wide range of treatments, including massages and manicures, as well as featuring a steam room and a Jacuzzi. There's also an outdoor swimming pool and a library with Wi-Fi access.
