Day Trip to Aitutaki

Start the day with a scenic flight over to Aitutaki where you will have a short tour of the island before joining your cruise, enjoying a selection of fresh tropical fruit whilst sailing out into the crystal clear lagoon. The first stop is a gently curving bay of pure white sand fringed by lush palm trees and calm lapping waters. A gentle stroll along this bay is a fantastic introduction to the sheer beauty of this lagoon.

After this you will be taken to a prime snorkeling site; the lack of other boats means the fish are abundant and the coral unspoilt, providing you with a myriad of colorful south sea marine life to watch. Lunch is a truly sumptuous affair; fresh salads, fruits and fresh barbecue fish all set on tranquil One-Foot Island. Don't forget to bring your passport though; the post office will stamp it for you, a unique record of your visit.

After lunch you spend a relaxing few hours exploring the island. A sandbank, named 'Heaven' just off the beach provides you with your only private island experience. The sail back to shore is a gentle one, allowing you time to soak up this amazing place and perfectly reflecting the Cook's concept of 'island time.' You will then be flown back to Rarotonga. Transfer from and back to your accommodation are included.
