Responsible Choice
As your vehicle winds up the driveway you are welcomed to Waterberry by tranquil gardens and well-manicured lawns. From reception you'll stroll past the inviting blue swimming pool and the charming stone thatched cottages that are scattered around the property. When you reach the split-level main lodge, the property reveals stunning views of the Zambezi River stretching across to the north bank, where you may see game roaming freely in Victoria Falls National Park.
The lodge makes a relaxing, friendly retreat as you explore the surrounding area, including Livingstone and Victoria Falls.
This is a perfect place to call home during your trip to the bustling Victoria Falls tourist areas, providing a peaceful setting and warm hospitality that's welcome after a busy day of sightseeing. We love waking up next to Victoria Falls National Park and peacefully boating down the Zambezi with morning coffee.

Rooms
The charming stone and thatch cottages are arranged strategically around the property in various settings throughout the main grounds. Their rustic decor provides an authentic atmosphere that matches that of the lodge. Though the units are not overly spacious, the high thatch creates the feeling of space. Each unit is equipped with a fan, air conditioning in the bedroom, a hair dryer, indoor seating area with coffee table, en suite bathroom with shower, tea/coffee making facilities, a balcony or deck, mosquito nets and a safe.
There are three cottage categories to choose from, including secluded Riverside Cottages, Garden Cottages and Family Cottages. Extra beds can be added to most rooms for those with young children. There's also a four bedroom farmhouse that can be booked on an exclusive basis. As not all the cottages have river views, we recommend staying in the cottages named Swallow or Weaver if you want complete privacy alongside incredible views of the river.
Location
Waterberry Lodge is located around 25 km (15.5 miles) from the lively town of Livingstone and the incredible Victoria Falls. The lodge's position on the Zambezi River also allows for a number of water-based activities.
Food and drink
All meals are included in your room rate and are served in the alfresco dining area overlooking the river. Food is hearty, home-cooked fare that's professionally served to guests at their leisure. The informal 'come-as-you-are' atmosphere at Waterberry creates a truly relaxing experience throughout your visit at the lodge. The staff are well-equipped to handle special dietary needs, allergies or food aversions when notified in advance.
Families
This property is family-friendly, offering Family Cottages on the main property and a four bedroom private farmhouse for those requiring a bit more space. Please note that none of the pools on the property are gated, so it's essential that children be minded at all times.
Facilities and activities
While staying here you can enjoy strolling around the pleasant gardens and exploring the nature trail around the lake, where you may spot a variety of wildlife. You can also take a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool (there's a separate plunge pool for children), curl up with a book in the library or play a board game and relax with a drink on the outdoor platforms overlooking the river. The lodge also has boats should you wish to cruise along the river, as well as floating pontoons that make a great place to sit with a sundowner. The riverside location means that fishing is also a popular activity. Wi-Fi access and a laundry service is included in the cost of your stay.
