Grove of Narberth

Grove of Narberth

Wales, The UK

Tucked away amid the rolling hills of the Pembrokeshire countryside, the Grove of Narberth is well-situated for a rural escape. The hotel’s cottages and main house date back to the 15th and 17th centuries, respectively, and the owners have thoughtfully renovated them in a manner that preserves their original features. From slender arrow-slit windows to broad inglenook fireplaces, the buildings are full of character. You’ll find plenty of nods to Welsh culture here too, including local crafts on display and rooms named in the language.

Welsh ingredients also feature prominently on the menus at the hotel’s two restaurants, with much of the produce grown on site. In addition to the kitchen gardens, the Grove of Narberth has expansive grounds featuring carpets of flowers and wild woodland where you can tuck into hotel-provided picnics when the weather’s good. A stay here also provides you with a convenient base for exploring the local area. Sandy beaches, lively villages, and medieval castles are all in easy driving distance of the hotel.

OUR OPINION:

We love how this hotel offers high-end service in a relaxed country-house atmosphere, all with plenty of warm Welsh hospitality. Plus, it’s well located for exploring the hills and beaches of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
