Located in a remote area of north Wales, the property is surrounded by luscious woodland and pristine gardens, providing a tranquil retreat when visiting the area. Once a military hospital in World War I, a refuge for evacuated children in World War II, and a host to British royalty, the hotel has a plethora of stories to tell and stands as a testament to Victorian opulence.

From its striking, stately exterior to the ornate interior decor, Palé Hall is an impressive and welcoming property. The hotel has a Michelin-starred restaurant onsite, as well as a relaxed bar and bistro.

We think this is a perfect option for those seeking a relaxing but luxurious stay in the North Wales mountains. The hotel’s unmissable stately presence, dining and high-quality service makes this property worth a visit.

Rooms

The hotel has a range of charming rooms and garden suites, all individually designed with lavish decor. Complete with antique furniture, lavish swagged curtains and rich soft furnishings, each room seamlessly blends tradition and style, transporting you into a fairytale.

Two of the garden suites are located in an original Victorian Coach House, both featuring a snug sitting room with a stove fire and a courtyard garden. For a more exclusive stay, there are cottages with a hot tub in a private garden, as well as a two bedroom barn conversion for a bit of extra space.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in the property, with all rooms and suites offering a bath, and most also including either a walk-in shower or bath with shower.

Location

Nestled in the peaceful Dee Valley, Palé Hall is perfectly placed for exploring Snowdonia National Park. With Conwy and Caernarfon only one hour away by car, the property provides opportunities to explore further afield.

Food and drink

The Henry Robertson is the Michelin-starred on-site restaurant, offering a fresh and seasonal menu, showcasing local ingredients accompanied with fine wine pairings. For a more casual dining experience, the hotel also has The Huntsman Bar and Bistro, as well as afternoon tea experiences with views of the idyllic scenery beyond.

Families

The hotel does not offer family rooms however smaller families can be accommodated with extra beds.

Accessibility

There are lifts within the hotel to the accessible rooms and temporary ramps for wheelchairs can be provided.
