Tango Mar

Located on a 150-acre private beachfront reserve along the Nicoya Peninsula on the Pacific Coast, Tango Mar offers the complete isolation and exclusivity of a small, beach resort.

There are four categories of rooms at the hotel. The entry level Beachfront Rooms are spacious facing the beach where you can hear the lapping surf as you head off to sleep. Behind these are the Tiki Suites, five Polynesian style wood and bamboo cabanas sitting on stilts located near the main facilities with an elevated position with partial views of the ocean.

They are surrounded by tropical gardens and palm trees. Set atop a hill above the main hotel are the Tropical Suites. Each Tropical Suite is graced with hand carved four post canopy king size bed. All rooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans, Jacuzzi (suites only), hair dryer, minibar, coffee maker, safe deposit box, telephone and satellite TV.

The Tropical Suites share a private pool and share a sun deck. There is an excellent main pool right on the beach with bar/restaurant and the "Cristobal" Restaurant, overlooking the ocean with a casual yet romantic setting where breakfast and dinner are served from a typical Costa Rican and international menu.

Please note the tide can be strong here so check before swimming in the sea.
