Tugu Lombok

Rooms

Rooms are spacious, comfortable and individually decorated in a traditional Lombok style. All have air conditioning, hair dryers, satellite TVs and DVD players.

Location

Tugu Lombok is located on the pristine white sand beach of Sire, on the northwest coast of Lombok. Around 45 minutes from the nearest major town, Senggigi, it enjoys a secluded location. However, neighbouring fishing villages with traditional homes and customs can be visited easily by bike or on foot. The nearest shops and restaurants are a 15-minute taxi ride away.

Food and drink

The hotel has two restaurants on site. Kokok Pletok Restaurant is an open-sided restaurant with a thatched roof that's crowned by a giant cockerel. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the international menu features Asian influences as well as Indonesian cuisine. As an alternative, you can also have dinner at Gedong Gandrung, where the historically inspired decor and soaring ceilings earn it the nickname 'The Hall of Love'.

The Lara Djonggrang Bar is intimate and rustic, yet very stylish. Bamboo windows, teak furniture and oil lamps take you back in time a hundred years or so, but the atmosphere at night is au courant, with lounge music and a great wine list.

You can also enjoy drinks at the Chinese-themed Klenteng Bar next to the Gedong Gandrung Restaurant. The hotel also offers numerous options for private dining all around the resort. You can either choose where you would like to eat or the hotel can offer suggestions.

Families

While there isn't a children's club, the hotel organises dancing classes, cookery classes and flower arranging for its younger guests.

Facilities and activities

The resort offers snorkelling and kayaking, straight from the beach, and can arrange for you to go diving at the Gili Islands, for a charge.

The enormous main pool is a relaxing place for lounging around with a cool drink and if you'd like something quieter, there is a smaller secondary pool. The hotel also offers an array of excursions which you can book directly and there is a spacious spa where you can unwind. There is also a library and antique shop, if you choose to recreate your room's decor at home.
